Trish was very welcoming and it was a laugh from start to finish, which put us beginner potters at ease. We would 1000% recommend, and will be back with more family and friends. We had such a lovely first-time experience at Country Girl Pottery. Patricia was warm, funny and full of knowledge — the perfect mix for beginners. She put us at ease straight away and made the session feel really special. It was with some trepidation that we ventured to our experience at the ‘Country Girl Pottery Workshop.’ We needn’t have worried, we were met by the lovely, exuberant Patricia who warmly welcomed us and showed us where the magic happened before comprehensively explaining the process of pottery making, how she became interested in pottery, why she chose the type of wheel that she uses (and the differences between the wheel and other wheel types) and showed us examples of finished pottery - all of that before we sat down! Then came the practical part of the workshop, beginning with a demonstration with Patricia showing us the techniques she had spoken about, using a 2lb piece of Clay - she made it look so easy! We then each took a turn and, with gentle encouragement and guidance where necessary, we crafted beautiful bowls, both different in design but both Stunning! We doubted that we would produce anything significant, but how wrong we were…who knew?! Patricia was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her craft and her enthusiasm definitely rubbed off on us. We had the BEST time this weekend visiting Patricia’s workshop. From the very moment we arrived we felt at home and were greeted with the warmest welcome. It was fun engaging and filled with lots of laughs. It was so interesting for us all, myself, my husband and my 10 year old included - we all found her story and experience so fascinating. Patricia showed us and explained so many techniques that you then get to put into practice! We cannot wait to go back to paint and glaze our pots. We went today to Country girl pottery and had an amazing time. Patricia is clearly passionate about her skill and so informative and she made us feel really at ease. We had so much fun and its clearly a miracle we created something to keep. Can't wait to go back and decorate our creations. Brought my Husband the pottery wheel experience gift voucher for Christmas, we thoroughly enjoyed it and what an amazing experience we had, highly recommend Country Girl Pottery 100%, very knowledgeable and is very patience as it was our very first time doing something completely out of our comfort zone, we made our pots in February but we went back today to glaze them, so very excited to see our final product. We will definitely go back and take our granddaughters. Loved every minute on both visits.
